2014 Perfect Pitch Winner: Cephus Simmons: Founder & CEO at SealCath, LLC
Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce is distinguished as the first municipal Chamber of Commerce in the United States and the longest continually operating business membership association.
MUSC FRD licensee, Cephus Simmons, Founder & CEO of SealCath, LLC won this year’s Perfect Pitch competition in the Chamber Catalyst division. SealCath is working to commercialize a unique double balloon catheter for use during an air or barium enema reduction procedure for the treatment of intussusception.
The 2014 Charleston Chamber of Commerce Perfect Pitch, Charleston’s version of ABC’s Shark Tank, allowed hopeful entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas to a panel of investors in hopes of recognition and seed money. Winners received a mixture of seed money and tools to help them make their idea a reality, including passes to DIGSOUTH, Harbor Entrepreneur Center events and SCORE workshops.
